David Scotland Assistant Vice President, Finance and Controller
David Scotland is responsible for the accounting functions at Trisura. David brings with him several years of accounting experience as an auditor and tax practitioner at a multinational public accounting firm. David holds a Masters Degree in Management and Professional Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant.
Teresa Galati Senior Accountant
Teresa Galati is responsible for the day to day accounting functions at Trisura keeping a watchful eye on expenses. Teresa was previously an Accountant Analyst for a multinational surety company.
Michelle Young Accountant
Michelle Young is responsible for assisting with the day-to-day accounting functions at Trisura. Since leaving university, Michelle worked within the public service industry. Michelle is currently studying towards her CMA designation.
Claims
Rebekah Alberga Vice President, Claims and Corporate Counsel
Rebekah Alberga is responsible for the leadership of the Claims process at Trisura. Rebekah is also responsible for providing in-house legal counsel to the company. Rebekah brings 8 years of experience in handling Corporate Risk claims with a focus on Directors’ and Officers’ Liability, Professional Liability and Fidelity claims. Prior to joining Trisura, Rebekah held the position of Senior Claims Counsel of a multinational property and casualty insurance company where she has was involved in the handling of a wide variety of complex claims. Rebekah is a lawyer called to the Ontario Bar, and has practiced exclusively in the area of insurance law, first as a litigator, and then as in-house counsel at several leading multinational property and casualty insurers .
Sonia Cordeiro Claims Counsel
Sonia Cordeiro is responsible for managing Corporate Risk and Surety claims under the direction of the VP of Claims and Corporate Counsel. As Claims Counsel, Sonia investigates, evaluates and resolves claims directly and in conjunction with external counsel and claims adjusters. Prior to joining Trisura, Sonia practiced exclusively in the area of commercial litigation with a particular emphasis on the field of construction law, including lien claims, deficiency claims, delay claims, breach of trust claims, surety bond claims, and bankruptcy and insolvency law issues, representing parties at all levels of the construction pyramid. Sonia is a lawyer called to the Ontario Bar and holds a Masters’ Degree in Political Science.
Claudia Erban Claims Assistant
Claudia Erban is responsible for all administrative aspects of the Claims process at Trisura. Claudia is also responsible for providing administrative support to Trisura's in-house Corporate Counsel. Claudia has an extensive background in Customer Service, and brings with her 4 years of claims administration experience. She previously worked for a Vancouver-based provider of finance and insurance products in the automotive sector and is actively pursuing her CIP designation.

Cindy Grant Vice President, Human Resources
Cindy Grant, CHRP, is responsible for Human Resources at Trisura. She will focus on recruitment, retention, education and training of staff as Trisura continues to grow and mature into one of Canada's top specialty lines insurers. Cindy brings a wealth of knowledge and skills from a diverse array of organizations within the financial services sector. Cindy is active with the Human Resources Professional Association, has volunteered for five years as a mentor and is currently working towards formal certification as a coach.
Sandra Henkel Vice President, Strategic Initiatives
Sandra Henkel is responsible for several key corporate initiatives including development and execution of our marketing strategy and plan, driving our Broker Strategic Initiative and working with the executive team in identifying and evaluating new products and services for Trisura to consider entering. Sandra brings with her 15 years experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Trisura, Sandra held various senior positions across a number of functional areas with a leading Canadian commercial property & casualty insurance carrier. Sandra holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing Management) from Ryerson, and an MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business as well as her FCIP designation.
Susy Alves Administrative Assistant
Susy is an administrative assistant in our Toronto office and wears many hats as she assists our Toronto operations. Previously, Susy worked in the insurance industry for 10 years, previously being employed by a large multinational insurance company.
Maria Luongo Office Administrator
Maria Luongo is the Office Administrator in the Vancouver office and wears many hats as she assists our Vancouver Surety and Corporate Risk operations. Maria previously worked for ten years in the restoration industry as an Office Manager and Claims Project Coordinator before moving on to a large North American insurance company.
Systems
Dragan Popovic Vice President, Information Systems
Dragan Popovic is responsible for the leadership in Information Systems and Technology. Dragan brings 15 years of experience in systems design, development, integration and implementation in insurance and banking industry. Prior to joining Trisura, Dragan held the position of Manager, Systems Development of a leading multinational property & casualty insurance carrier where he was involved in all aspects of policy management / underwriting systems life cycle.
Bill van der Ende Manager, Information Systems
Bill is responsible for supporting Trisura's information systems. Bill has more than 11 years of experience in systems design, development, support, and database administration. Bill was previously the Team Leader of Application Development at a leading multinational surety company.
Steve Trinh Lead Developer, Information Systems
Steve Trinh, MCSD, is responsible for the development and support of Trisura's new and existing insurance applications. Steve brings 15 years of IT consulting and systems development experience in both Canada and the United States, providing business solutions for multinational insurance, automotive, airline, government and manufacturing organizations.
Evan Gamble Web Application Developer
Evan Gamble is responsible for assisting in the development of Trisura's new and existing insurance applications. Evan has over 6 years of development experience in a wide range of environments from IT startups to large financial institutions to mid-sized law firms. He holds a Bachelor of Computing (B. Comp) from the University of Guelph.
Samuel Leakemariam Web Application Developer
Samuel Leakemariam is responsible for assisting in the development and support of Trisura's new and existing insurance applications. Samuel bring to Trisura 5 year of programming experience within the telecommunications industry. Samuel holds a B.Sc in Computer Science.
